Brian Adeniyi-Williams is shaking things up in the Des Moines community one bachata class at a time.
Owner and dance instructor, Adeniyi-Williams, loves sharing his enthusiasm with others.
One can truly see how passionate he is through his effortless energy that brings the class to life. No matter what goal one may have, he wants to see it reached and then some. Programs are customized to help people see progress and feel good about themselves.
“There is one myth,” Adeniyi-Williams said. “There are no borning dancers. Start to get dance into your lifestyle. Dance is a wonderful way to build chemistry and connect…To look into each others eyes and get all fired up all over again.”
As a father and business man, Adeniyi-Williams knows that it’s hard to balance work and life. He looks to the community to help create more opportunities where people can dance locally.
“Dance is a great way to express myself,” Adeniyi-Williams said. “Motion drives emotion.”
Bachata Des Moines strives to be more than just dance. It was built on personal values. Family, culture, and diversity are the key components to their mission which is to create experiences that integrate culture, community, and dance into every day life.
“Sweet Moves” is currently the only workshop being offered by Bachata Des Moines. It is aimed to teach dancers that Bacatha is more than side-to-side footwork. Adeniyi-Williams and his wife lead the workshop and break techniques down. The workshop is being held every Saturday at 10:30 until December 16th except for Thanksgiving weekend.
Workshops are currently being taught at Dance-A-Cross in West Des Moines.
Bachata Des Moines is working on expanding in the upcoming year. They offer packages such as private and group dance instructions, Quinceañera and wedding choreography, signature events, and even event planning assistance. New generation instructors will be incorporated in 2018.
