The 34th annual Festival of Trees and Lights brought cheer to the Des Moines Community while raising money for children battling serious illness.
The Festival is several days and includes activities for parents and children alike and a scavenger hunt with a prize at the end.
Blank Children’s Hospital and Unity Point Health: Des Moines Foundation team up each year and display a forest of decorated trees in honor to the children who have battled cancer and other fatal diseases.
Each year seems to yield greater results and participation and this year was no different. It is a warm reminder of human compassion during the winter chill this Holiday season.
