Tiger Woods has undergone surgical procedure on his again to take away a pressurised disc fragment and can miss the Farmers Insurance Open later this month and the Genesis Invitational in February.
The 15-time main winner’s fifth again operation was introduced on following discomfort he sustained in the course of the PNC Championship in December.
A press release printed on Woods’s social media channel learn: “Tiger has recently undergone a microdiscectomy procedure to remove a pressurised disc fragment that was pinching his nerve after experiencing discomfort following the PNC Championship. His doctors and their team have determined it to be successful and expect him to make a full recovery.”
Woods stated: “I look forward to beginning training and am focused on getting back out on tour.”
Woods completed seventh on the PNC Championship, the place he competed alongside his 11-year-old son Charlie. He final underwent surgical procedure on his again – a spinal fusion operation – in 2017. Following the surgical procedure, Woods went on to win thrice on the PGA Tour, together with the 2019 Masters.
